I know I'm not been Noble's number one fan but I've been very impressed with him this season. Hopefully he'll have a stormer tonight.

Fordy's currently washing off his red and white face paint and replacing it with Blue and white.

2 cup finals for him in 5 days. Pretty big business.

Is this why there's no sign of Fordy?

Hope he's not topped himself at the news

Re: No No Noble
Woy is old skool and the game ahs left him behind, he looks good in a tracksuit and most likely can put on a good training session. But trying to out-tactic some of the best coaches in the game at the top level? Not a chance.

So dont see why Noble shouldnt be in with a shout

Re: No No Noble
9 Midfielders went to the last World Cup so I'll list mine as:

1. Barkley
2. Allie
3. Sterling
4. Wilshere (if fit)

I can't honestly say that Ive studied Drinkwater (as Kante catched the eye when Ive watched the Fox's) & not so sure about stalwarts such as Carrick, Milner, Lallana, Henderson etc as havent seen much greatness from them this season

What is it about the word 'fact' that means it completely changes its meaning if you put it in capitals?

Re: No No Noble
, "how many of those five players you have named will be in our Euro tournament squad?"

I don't know. But they've all been capped so they had an opportunity to show what they can do. My point is that I think it's strange that Noble hasn't even had that opportunity.

And there is no way you can say he isnt good enough even over the last 3yrs as none of the players I mentioned are better or more consistent than Noble.

I think people fail to understand that Noble has played pretty much every game for us when available for the last 3-4yrs. And has become club captain as well. It's all very well having glimpses of flashy play like Townsend, but the reality is football at the highest level is about consistency.

I think the consistency, reliablity and leadership qualities alone should have seen noble capped.

Hodgdon might as well use a computer alogorithm to pick his squad because we all know if your in the big teams you get picked. Why bother scouting if your just going to pick the players available from the top teams?

In this country more than most the teams are not picked on talent alone, rather their markability for the FA and the realitionship with the big clubs. Every single one of the squad was either previously at a big club (Shelvey, Cleverly) or is at one now.

Anyway.. what's the point, it is what it is.

Re: No No Noble
comma, I'd say Lallana & Henderson as he puts them in his first 11 when fit. I agree Nobles as good as then but not sure any should be in 1st 11.

Re: No No Noble
Thing about football is that it is all about opinions and Hodgson's opinion counts when it comes to who plays for England. If everyone picked an England squad it would be different and not everyone is going to agree.

I'm not a great fan of a player having a couple of decent games for their Club then suddenly he wins a cap, but for instance in the case of Deli Alli I can understand it as the lad is clearly talented.

Watching MOTD last night I would have Noble in ahead of Shelvey. When things are going well Shelvey is a good player but when not he just hides. The way he was meandering back against Chelsea was just lazy, which is something you can never blame Noble for. If it's good, bad or indifferent Noble will always put effort in and probably covers a hell of a lot of ground.

Would anyone here swap:

Andros Townsend,
Ryan Mason,
Jordan Henderson,
Adam Lalana or
Calum Chambers

for Mark Noble?
